Teriyaki Marinade for Steak

A proper grilled steak deserves a proper marinade, don’t you think? Impart flavor to your meat! Marinades take only a few minutes to assemble!

For two medium sized steaks:
1 large clove garlic, chopped or crushed
3/4  cup light colored beer
1 cup pineapple or orange juice (pineapple is optimal, but orange is acceptable)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/8 tsp black pepper
3/4 tsp ground ginger
Dash of sesame oil

Place steaks and all ingredients into a large food storage bag and seal. I usually double bag it to ensure it won’t leak. Place in the refrigerator for at least two hours – or up to a day in advance.

When ready to cook, remove bag from refrigerator and allow steaks to rest 15 minutes before grilling. Grill or cook to your liking.

Discard the marinade – do not use it as sauce and cross contaminate your food!!! Instead, make more.

Have a wonderful day!
