Here at CPM we really love our hot dips. Artichoke dip, jalapeno dip, basil and spinach dip -we love them all! Hot dips easy to prepare, can be whipped up with just a few items from your fridge and are an excellent make-ahead option for parties. Simply throw together, put into a heat proof baking dish and leave in the refrigerator for up to a week. Then bake it when guests arrive.
Hot Cheesy Bacon Ranch Dip
Two strips thick cut bacon diced
1 cup diced onion
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
One teaspoon freshly chopped basil
1/4 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped
Preheat oven to 375°. In a sauté pan on medium heat cook bacon until about halfway done, add in onion and continue cooking until bacon is done and onions are translucent. Remove from heat. Strain mixture.
Combine bacon and onion mixture with all other ingredients and mix until fully combined. Spread dip into an ungreased baking pan (I prefer Pyrex). Bake for around 30 minutes or until mixture is hot and bubbly.
Serve hot with crackers, chips or French bread. Also good on burgers!
Eat well!
