Waffle Wednesday – Peach Croisaffle

Mmmmm – a dessert waffle.  Peaches are in season in Northern California and I had some really beautiful Cassie peaches from Mana’s Ranch in Esparto.  Here is a hot, easy croisaffle suitable for either breakfast or, if you have some vanilla ice cream, a great dessert!

Peach Croisaffle

One mini croissant
Several thin slices of fresh peach
1 ½ teaspoons sugar
Pinch of ground cinnamon

Slice croissant in half, leaving one edge in tact.  Place peach slices in croissant, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.  Place in waffle iron and cook for around 2 minutes or until golden.

Eat as a great hand-held breakfast or top with ice cream and have a hot and lovely dessert.
